Two days ago I had a facial at my derm's office. A very nice facial with a light glycolic peel. I've done this a few times and I've always loved it, and my skin glows and looks beautiful for a couple weeks after. But for some reason, yesterday afternoon I started developing bumps and redness! My forehead and chin feel rough like sand paper and my cheeks are bumpy and red.
What the....? I can't imagine what is going on! The only thing I can think of is that usually after a facial (especially with a peel) I only use Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizing cream and sunblock for a few days and absolutely NO anti-aging products, but I spaced out and put on the Loreal skin Genesis serum and lotion yesterday. Do you think that would do it? I have never had a reation with that before (and I've been using it for about a month). But maybe with the peel.... I don't know. What's worse is that tomorrow my husband and I are going to Las Vegas for a fun romantic week-end away WITHOUT THE KIDS and I look terrible!! Is there any advice to getting rid of this quick? I put cortozone cream on last night under my cetaphil moisturizer before bed, but there is not much change today. Also, do you think it is okay to excersize when your skin is inflamed? I usually go to spin class today, but I get very sweaty and heated so I'm thinking, maybe it's not such a good idea. I apologize for the extremely long message, but any insight would be greatly appreciated!
thanks, Zoey
