Is anyone using a skin lightener with hydroquinone everyday or regularly? Most instructions say to stop after 3 months if there are no improvements but can you keep using it after 3 months if you see results? Can it be harmful if used everyday? ???

i DON'T THINK IT CAN BE HARMFUL. I USED IT AFTER LAST SUMMER WHEN I HAD SOME DISCOLORATION ON MY FACE AND IT WORKED. IF IT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU, A PRESCRIPTION MAY BE NECESSARY. I USED DDF PRODUCT AND IT SAID JUST TO USE IT FOR THREE MONTHS. IT TOOK THE WHOLE THREE MONTHS TO SUCCESSFULLY LIGHTEN THE SKIN FOR ME.

I thought you were supposed to give it a rest after a certain amount of time, also. I used the Philosophy Pigment of Your Imagination (non SPF) with Hydroquinine and used it till it was gone...about 2 1/2 months. Now I us the SPF version as my sunblock. The Hydroquinine is not in that...Kojic Acid is. The Philosophy lady at Nordies told me that I should take a one month break from Hydroquinine. Also I believe that the products in Canada have a 4 percent solution whereas American ones have only 2 percent.

Did you see a difference in your skin? Can kojic acid be used regularly then? Isn't it also a skin lightener?

Yes my skin is a good bit lighter and more bright. THANK YOU DR. B
These are products I would have never ever bought.

The kojic acid is safe for continued use. It is plant based, not chemical based. I am using the one from Philosophy A Pigment of Your Imagination SPF 18, it is one of the recommended sunblocks for DSPW.
It is a more gentle lightener. But from what I understand, once the pigmentation is gone, it is gone, unless you get sun exposed again, so thus the reason for the good sunblocking products.

I have an SPF 45 PRETTY IN ZINC I bought at Bath and Body Works I am taking to Mexico with me.
