First off, hi everyone

I'm Josh, 37yo, male (I hope you guessed that one), am obsessed with skin care and a major product junkie - have been since *long* before it was fashionable for guys to take care of themselves.

I have seen Dr. Baumann's books in my local bookstores for some time now, but never actually got around to picking one up. That changed today, and together with burying my face in the book, I have found (and spent several hours reading) this forum, which is occupied with other product junkies I see

I am about to take the Skin Type Questionnaire and have a couple of questions if you don't mind.

About 3 weeks ago I started using Retin-A 0.1% cream, on the recommendation of my derm (actually, old derm now as I have just moved several hundred miles). I started using it every third night, and last week upped it to every second night. So far I only have very mild flaking on my chin, sides of my nose and even less on my forehead. It is nothing major, and is easilly taken care of by lightly rubbing the flakes off with a wet wash cloth in the shower and a little extra moisturiser on those parts.

Now, given my skin condition will undoubtedly be changing, possibly quite dramatically over the next few weeks to possibly months, should I take the Skin Type Questionnaire now, then re-do it every, say month, or would I be better off waiting a couple of months before doing it and potentially changing products?

My second question I think I can guess the answer to, but wanted to check. As your skin's condition changes periodically (with the seasons and also with age), should the Skin Typing Questionnaire be taken periodically, and if so, how often?

Thanks in advance
Josh / 41 / male / DSPW-OSPW / Acne and clog prone / sensitive. Switching up my routine as I'm living in a new country (Malta) and the change in climate, water and diet is causing my skin to play up.

Using: La Roche-Posay Lipikar Syndet (AM/PM), distilled witch hazel (AM/PM), Clarins UV Plus HP SPF 40 (AM), Retin-A Gel 0.01% (PM).
