Ooops, it's a down day for the Skibunny. My sister and best friend is having a double mastectomy on Friday (9/28) and right now I won't know until Wednesday morning (9/26) if the results of a PET Scan show distant metastatic disease. I am a Nurse and know she'll have a hard time ahead with medical treatment and am trying to get her thinking ahead about natural, alternative and complementary therapies.....and skin care too. She is an OSPW, but will become a DSPW with estrogen suppressive medication and she lives in AZ the driest of the dry places. Interestingly enough , our cousin, Vincene Parinello, owns a company in CA named Hope Aesthetics which caters to skin care needs of women with cancer, especially breast cancer. Vincene and her late sister Annette (and mother, Rose) had breast cancer, hence the interest. Hope Aesthetics has some interesting products, but I wonder what any of you have experience with using.
Pain management is my area of expertise ( I take care of OB and post-op GYN patients), so I can help keep her comfortable, but love your skin care recs.
