Hi - I have a terrible time wearing makeup - for some reason, I can't stand the way it feels on my face - I don't have this problem so much with skincare that agrees with my skin, but for some reason, I just can't seem to tolerate makeup (particularly foundation, powder, mascara - everything else is okay).

So, here's my question - what is so different ingredient-wise in makeup, such as a liquid foundation, that would cause someone with sensitive skin to not tolerate wearing it?  The pigments?  The texture?  Is there something other than the coloring agents that is really that different in foundation than in moisturizer?  I'm trying to figure out what I'm intolerant to.  I've tried mineral makeup - it's the worst offender!  I've tried over a dozen brands even without bismuth oxychloride and it just itches my skin to no end.  But so does regular makeup, and for some reason, my skin just feels "sticky" when I have makeup on.  And mascara - although it doesn't irritate my eyes necessarily, I don't like the "heavy" feel on my eyelashes.

Any thoughts?  I am just being too sensitive? I need some coverage!  I just want something that I can stand to wear for the day - but I've never been able to find anything I tolerate for more than an hour or two at a time.

Thanks for any insights you might shed on this issue.
