My husband used to have a beard, but had to shave it because of severe dry, flaky, and itchy skin. Every time his beard begins to grow back a little (like he needs to shave), it starts getting red, irritated, and itchy....though he doesn't let it get long enough where it starts developing the flakes again.

He tried his normal H&S dandruff shampoo, but it didn't work. He did receive some samples of some creme to help heal, but not to keep it from coming back. The only other suggestion was to shave the beard.....I liked the beard.

Any other suggestions?
