Dr. Baumann, I think I am sensitive to silicones, as I seem to have reactions to any serums I have tried, as well as products that contain dimethicone. Are there any other ingredients I should avoid?

I have been wondering about this also. I have heard lots of people say tht they are sensitive to silicones. I recently started breaking out really badly and am wondering if it is from using Elizabeth Arden capsules which contain dimethicone. (I'm an OSNW)

I also think I'm allergic to silicones. I came out as DSPW on the quiz (rather surprised me, but taking the test another two times didn't change the result ). I've tried serums with silicone in them in the past - Estee Lauder Idealist and Olay Total Effects being just two - and I end up breaking out. I haven't read all of Dr Baumann's book yet, but haven't found anything that mentions DSPWs being sensitive to silicones.
O 28
S 36.5
N 26
T 40

I was a DSPW when I first found Dr Baumann's book, but now, maybe because of the season, or because of what I've learned I'm now scoring as OSNT.

I'm an OSPT and notice that whenever I've tried to use foundations or primers with silicone, I get what I call mini-acne, ie small red bumps, as opposed to normal acne (the BIG red bumps & lumps) The mini acne tended to be on my T-zone where I'm very oily.

Mineral powders are the safest thing for me to use.

I'm glad someone else posed this question, b/c I think they break me out as well. I'm an ORPW type & I've also tried the OoO serum, as well as smashbox's photo finish primer. Yuck--hate this feeling on my skin.
