Does anyone have a dermatologist they really like?  If so, how does that person examine your skin?  I've been to derms that don't come within 5 feet of me, yet send me off with a fist of prescriptions.  Can they really know what is going on with my skin without looking closely?

What is it that makes you feel like you have a good dermatologist?  What should I look for?  Is there any way to make an assessment before you actually wait months for an appointment?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.  I'm in a new city and don't know anyone here to even ask for referrals.  Thank you!
