Hi everyone, I started my prescription regimen about 2 months ago. I used Dr. B's recs for starting Renova...every three days for two weeks, then every other day for two weeks and then nightly for about three weeks now. I had absolutely no problems, just a slight amount of flakiness, until about two days ago. All of a sudden, I have some SERIOUS flaking and red patches around my mouth and chin! I'm not sure what I should do...should I go back to using it every other night for awhile or just avoid those areas when applying at night? Will my skin just start to adjust or will it get worse? I have a big wedding to go to this weekend and don't want to look all red and flaky!

How much Renova are you using? You just use a teeny tiny amount. A pea-sized amount. Did your derm show you how to use it? You dot it on your face. Do not rub it all in at once, and a pea-sized amount will do it. I would think if you're flaking that much that you're using too much Renova. I would cut back to every other night for a while.

That can happen time to time- especially if weather gets less humid or cooler. Stop for a few days and restart every third night. (It takes 3-4 days to see the redness and flaking so you need to wait and see what happens)
