I just received my glasses with transition lens and LOVE them.  I don't even notice they are darkening until I look at myself in the mirror.  At transitions.com, they have a UV index map that shows UV rays by zip code.  The below link is to the USA website.  To find websites for othe world locations, just go to transitions.com.

Gives a little idea why some of us can get away with lower sunscreens while others need to be more diligent.
