My water is very hard. I'm thinking of getting a water softener for my shower. The Jonathan Product sounds good. It's $95 at Sephora but is out of stock.
www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=...&categoryId=5797

I read somewhere there's a water softener exactly like his for less money. Does anyone know about this? I need one that's really easy to install.

Thanks.

That Jonathan product is not a water softener, its a water filter. I think to soften your water, you need to buy a unit that is attached to your water unit.

yes,you need a unit& most likely,a plumber..my sister-in-law has one and whenever we visit,my skin feels like slime after I shower, wash my face,etc...my water is hard and probalby not the best for skin, but it feels like I can't get my skin clean with soft water..just an observation..I am sure one can adjust..

I felt exactly the same way whenever I visited my relatives who had very soft water. My skin would get oilier than ever and my hair would go flat (back when big hair was the thing). It's all about what you are used to.
