I wish this website offered a Dermatologist referral link. Sondra mentioned in another post (First Visit to Dermatologist) how disappointing her visit to the dermatologist was. She wanted to get a prescription for retinoids but the doctor would not do it. He felt she had other issues to work on. I was thinking if Dr. B offered a referral link then we could contact dermatologists in our area that were familiar with Dr B & her book and who followed her skin care ideas. Just a thought. Dr. B if you are listening, please think about this. Thank you.

just do a google search and you're bound to come up with a referral source..you could always call in your area and mention the book to the receptionist,she can check with the dr, and return your call if the dr. is familar with Dr.B&her book..honestly,my derm is very open and not intimidated by ANY book or source of information,whether she agrees with it or not..she tells me her philosophy(ies) about procedures/treatments and whether she thinks I will gain anything from them. I can tell you this,you will run up against a dr. who will not be so open,as some have huge egos..

Hmm interesting idea. You can go to www.aad.org but that does not guarantee they will be an up to date doc. How terrible. Wht did they suggest you do instead of retin A? Pay for a microdermabrasion or somehting right? How terrible. I will try to put together a list of derms I respect by area. Look for it in an upcomign Q and A.

Dr. Baumann,

It is so hard to find a good dermatologist. Most of them spend less than 5 minutes with you and try to rush you out of the room. The last one I had didn't seem to care what I had to say, her repsonse to everything was "that looks fine, don't worry about it". It can get very frustrating.

I've only gone to a dermatologist a few times in my life, but knowing who you would recommend in different metro areas is a really good idea. If you ever come to Denver I hope you let us know as I can already think of a few women who would love to thank you in person for your great recommendations.
