Drat!

I finally hit a snag with my differin treatment. I am on week 6. Having run out of my Neutrogen Ultra Sheer SS with SPF 30, I took the SPF 45 out of my travel case.

OUCH!!!! My skin stings now and when I go to put on makeup it I can feel EVERY bristle on my m/u brushes.

I am heading to Florida in 3 weeks - am I correct in assuming that the SPF 45 is too strong while using the Differin? Should I go back down to the 30? I tried applying the Olay Total Effects serum recommended in the hardcover prior to my SS and again prior to my Differin application but that only made it worse! Logic tells me that this new introduction is the culprit. BUT.....

We are also having a bitter cold snap now (another "wrinkle" to deal with). My chin is so scaly and if I look really close, my skin is even more uneven (this is the "it gets worse before it gets better part, right?)

Or would going back to every other day with the Differin help? In reading up again about retinoids on this site and Paula Begoun's site, I shouldn't be this dry and flaky, but my Dr. took a look today and said it IS to be expected because it IS an "exfoliant". I am so confused.

Hope I made sense - the kids have been ill and I am so sleep deprived.

Any thoughts/suggestions would help .
