.) Sensitive skin is more than just stinging and dry skin. I can be a multitude of symptoms including: acne, lumps, bumps, flakes, dry lines, etc.

.) Just because a little of something works well, doesn't mean a lot of it will work better. Sometimes, a tiny amount of a product (even a simple moisturizer) works best. I can use the most non-irritating moisturizer... but if I put on too much of it, I will start to sting. The same is true with retinoids: use no more than your pea size. More won't work better, it will just cause irritation.

.) Tap water and mineral water sprays are MY enemies. Distilled water has been a great addition to my routine (thanks Inky).

.) Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, Ureas, fragrance, Vitamin C and many others are complete no-nos for my skin. Even the slightest bit of these ingredients, will set my skin back.

.) Finding products without all those irritatins is a chore and a half....LOL

.) Learning that every other night or even every 3rd night of a product (my Differin) is just as good if not better for my skin than using it every night. I was so used to putting some kind of treatment on my face that I felt like I was neglecting my skin by not using something nightly. Boy, was I wrong on that one!

.) Using harsch cleansers start your skin off each day and night in a bad state. If your skin is irritated from your cleanser, you are always playing catch up.

.) Chemical sunscreens, while wonderful ingredients, wreach havoc on my skin. Even if it is not right away, they will start to give me ugly little bumps on my cheeks and under my eyes.

.) Finding a good phyisical sunscreen, that doesn't irritate and is cosmetically elegant is almost impossible. I'm still on my quest, maybe 2007 will bring me that elusive sunscreen...LOL

.) Sometimes giving your face a break from products does wonders.
