I noticed that there are many questions about safe products during pregnancy and breastfeeding spread throughout the forum.  I thought putting one post in the General Skin Issues section might help people.

Dr. Baumann, if possible, can you lay out the do's and don'ts here in the General Skin issues and maybe it will make it easier for everyone to find.

Just a suggestion.  Thanks!

Great idea. Avoid salicylcic acid and retinol containing products while pregnant. It is ok to use SA while breastfeeding but you should still avoid retinoids (Retinol, Retin A, Renova, Tazarac, and Differin)

Oh shoot!  I did not know that I needed to also avoid BHAs!!  I've been using it this entire time.  I've also been using AHA body lotion for my keratosis pilaris on my upper arms.  I'm almost 9 weeks along.  Need I be concerned?

No retinol or BHAs...I'm going to be real attractive this year with acne and wrinkles! So, I wonder...are there safe alternatives to address clogged pores and wrinkles while pregnant?
