I've always heard you're covered with whatever highest SPF you put on. So 15 + 15 = 15. Another example 15 + 30 = 30. Don't know positively if this is correct, but it's what I have heard, read over the years.

You're right. I did a research project on this in college. The highest #spf you put on is what you're covered by. 15+15=15, 30+30=30 etc.
Although when I did my paper, at that time evidence seemed to indicate that SPF 30 was pretty much the highest you could REALLY go. Even though there is SPF 45 and 60. It didn't really go that high. Maybe nowadays things have advanced more so who knows? I usually just stick with the 30.

You're right about the spf 30 being as high as it goes. I learned that several years ago. Sure, they make them up to 50, but all they do is get extra money from them. How it was explained to me is that 30 is the highest blocking they can do. And I was told to always use spf 30 on my face. I use it all over.

Im double checking wiht some other experts to make sure I am right about the answer. I will get back to you. SPF can be higher than 30 but remember SPF only tlaks about UVB protection not UVA protection.
