I'm wondering if anyone else has ever experienced these, which come up on my face every so often:

Last night, after going out to dinner (and eating much more sugar than I'm used to), I felt these three itching/stinging red bumps coming up on my right cheek. When I touch them, they feel like a needle is being stuck in my face! Ow! I have had these before, and they typically are painful like this for a few days, then they just become a red spot on my face that lasts for weeks or months. They seem to maybe be associated with eating too much sugar, especially since I don't regularly eat much refined sugar.

My question is: are these acne or some kind of weird allergy reaction? Anyone have any idea what they are and/or what I can do?
