Dr. Baumann,

If you have a few minutes I'd like to ask a question about moles.  If moles aren't counted in your pigmentation score, what other factors beyond skin pigmentation cause them?  I tested out as Non-pigmented, but I have the smooth beauty mark type of moles all over my body - face, arms, legs.  I believe this is genetic in my family - grandmother, mother, sister, even my 22 month old daughter had her first one appear at the age of 13 months.

These are not freckles.  They are spaced too far apart.  And I actually have been pretty good about wearing sunscreen - even as a teenager.

The moles don't bother me in any way - I was just curious about them after reading the book.

I was wondering about this too. I'm very mole-y, even pn places that have not seen the sun.

I'd have to agree with your assumption about genetics, based on my family as well. We'll see what Dr. Baumann says, though!
