Elsewhere on this forum I've seen some mention of ingredients that should not go together. It would be really helpful to have a list of those ingredients that should not be combined in the same product.

In the Q&A section, Dr. Baumann stated: "Retinoids should not be mixed with BHA (salicylic acid) or AHA (glycolic acid) because the BHA and AHAs can inactivate the retinoid."

A lot of the people on this forum have interpreted this to mean that it's better to use BHA or AHA containing products in the morning and retinoids in the evening.

Some of the retinol containing products contain AHA as well. Here are two examples:
RoC Anti Wrinkle RETINOL ACTIF PUR Night
Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Nightly Renewal Cream

My question is: does the AHA in these products inactivate the retinol?

Thanks in advance...
