I'm 60 years old with some wrinkling around my mouth and chin; a very few light lines at the outer corner of the eyes and brow. I've been using the $ priced products and have been getting good results!
Specifically I use:
1) Purpose Dual Treament Moisturizer - daytime moisturizer
2) Rachel Perry Ginseng-Collagen Wrinkle Treatment with MSM & Bioflavonoids - night time moisturizer
3) Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-wrinkle Cream Original - moisturizer with Retinol
4) Nivea Visage CoenzymeQ10 Plus Wrinkle Control Eye Cream
5) St Ives Swiss Formula Invigorating Apricot Scrub
I live in the 'arm pit of the universe' so none of the cleaners or serums that dr baumann mentions are available in my area stores - soooooo, I've been using a cleanser I found at my local beauthy supply store: Beyond Belief A-B-H Pore Refining foaming cleanser - which seems to be doing a fine job. For the serum I was finishing a product my daughter sent me: Philosophy When Hope Is Not Enough facial firming serum with gutathione, peptides, vitamin c & e and soy.
Now that I've run out of the serum, I thought maybe I better try to find a product which is available locally. I checked my food co-op's catalog and found about 5 products and checked them out online. I eliminated all but 2 products just based on their ingredients and comparison to dr baumann's ingredients list for drnw's. Then I checked dr baumann's site to see if either of these 2 were on her site. One was, but it said that it contained a product not good for our skin type so I want with the remaining choice. I just purchased 2 bottles, .55 oz ea, of Avalon CoQ10 Wrinkle Defense Serum. I'm hoping that it works well - I'd love to buy dr baumann's choice of SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic - but the price is prohibitive. I'll settle for a lesser but positive result if I can get it from the Avalon product. We'll see.
I'm filling the interum with a product I bought a while back with C E & A but I can see in the mirror that my face is 'backsliding' in the 2 days since I've had to make due! So, ingredients do matter!
