NickNack, your so well versed on all of this. I'd like to clarify something you said to Sade because I'm confused. I haven't seen a derm yet but I will soon then I'll start the prescription regimen.

You told Sade that you use glycolic acid in the morning and Renova at night.
I take it that you use the glycolic cleanser in the morning but then what do you use as a cleanser at night. Or maybe I'm just not understanding.

Thanks for your advice. ???

Karen,

Thanks for the compliment. I've just been interested in skin care for a while and read a lot. I don't know half of what some people do though!

I do not use a glycolic cleanser. I actually use Cetaphil. The glycolic acid I mentioned is Glytone, which is a glycolic acid lotion. This is not on Dr. Baumann's recommended list, at least not for my skin type. My dermatologist recommended it and I've been using it for about a year. It's made a tremendous difference in my skin, and I'm not sensitive to it. Glytone is not a prescription, but it's usually purchased from a dermatologist's office.
