Hi everyone,

I am brand new to this forum, having just purchased The Skin Type Solution on Saturday. Turns out I am a DSNT, and like many of you, until now, have been doing the wrong things with the wrong products. There was a time I was exfoliating every day, then cut it down to several times a week. This was in addition to using a cleanser, toner, serum, cream, and sometimes sweet almond oil. My poor skin.

I've been complimented on my complexion but from time to time get redness, which my family doc thinks is mild rosacea. She game me Metrogel and I've used it for the past week, but it doesn't really seem to make a difference. So maybe the redness is not rosacea, but a result of overexfoliating?

Anyhow, it is important to me to use products that are cruelty free -- not tested on animals and that use vegetarian ingredients. So if you have any suggestions that fit this criteria, for a DSNT skin type, I would greatly appreciate it.

I see a few products I could use that are recommended by Dr. Baumann in her book, but I am looking for more options.
