TOPIC: Can anyone recommend a great foundation?

Can anyone recommend a great foundation? 5 years, 11 months ago #268

First of all, I am SO grateful for this book. I haven't been able to put anything on my skin in years b/c it all burned & created redness. I am pleased to report that the Dove Sensitive Essentials line has completely changed my face and I am so proud.

Now I need a great foundation makeup to even out my skin tone further. I am not having luck with anything containing an SPF (I have to use Roche Posay spf45 when I know I will be outside...and it probably won't work with makeup). I had previously used Physician's Formula mineral wear, but now that my skin is actually moisturized, it's not so great.

I am not looking to spend a fortune either. I am a stay-at-home mom so I don't need heavy coverage, just something for a little self-esteem boost.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide. I am in Canada so somewhat limited as to my options too.

Hello,

Well, I'm a different skin type than you are, but I absolutely love Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation. However, it does contain sunscreen and I know you said you don't have the best luck with sunscreen in foundations. I think it's still worth a trial run, though. Any drugstore carries it and you can return it easily enough. The texture is fantastic and it blends very easily. The coverage is natural, but it actually hides imperfections and you can also build the coverage. I'm also a big fan of the Healthy Skin Enhancer, but I had to stop using retinol for a little while. I've consistently had great luck with Neutrogena foundations, so I'd thought I'd share.

Good luck~

Oops, just realized that the Healthy Skin liquid foundation also contains pro-retinol, so I guess I need to put that on hold until after I have this baby.
