Hi Dr. Baumann,

Although you do not recommend powders for DSPT types, I actually like Jane Iredale's PurePressed Base.  It covers beautifully and causes no irritation for me whatsoever.  In addition, it is surprisingly not drying - no flakies at all, and does not feel tight or taut.  I used to use Chanel's Teint Compact Creme Universel, and that left me very dry and irritated. 

The ingredients for JI's PurePressed Base are as follows:

Active Ingredients:   Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide
Ingredients:  Mica, Bismuth Oxychloride, Dimethicone, Boron Nitride, Hydrated Silica, Stearic Acid, Pine Bark Extract, Pomegranate Extract
May contain:   Iron Oxides, Ultramarines, Carmine

I think that some people may be sensitve to the bismuth oxychloride, but it causes no problems for me.  ;D

I am a DSP borderline W/T so I will answer this
I have tried many liquid foundations. I find when I use them, I break out with acne... usually cystic type
So I have found the following that work great for me!
Physcian's Formula solar sun (for bronzing)
Laura Geller Balance and Brighten for foundation
Laura Geller Bronze and Brighten for bronzing
Philosophy Supernatural foundation (gives me more coverage than I need but it works well with my skin)
Laura Geller Color washes in Pink or Bronze no problem with them
Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer (however I am not sure if this broke me out or the fact I was traveling when I used it)


Foundations I dislike
Bare Escentuals --made each poor on my face look like the Grand Canyon! Also very shiny finish
Stila Illuminating foundatons... I broke out horribly
Neutrogena mineral powder -- horrible packaging and looked like a ton of powder sitting on top of my skin!
Tarte Smooth Operator - difficult to match shade and felt heavy on.
Shiseido fluid foundation - this also made me break out

I have found that I have great luck using Laura Gellers Spackle, which is an under makeup primer.
