Has anyone tried the new skin products (sold on QVC) from Dr. Wexler??  Ads sounded good, but one never knows, especially with sensitive dry eczema-prone skin.

Paula Begoun just reviewed Dr. Wexler's line in her Cosmetics Cop Newsletter and pretty much blasted it. I haven't tried any of her products so am not speaking from personal experience.

If you're interested in QVC's products, Dr. Denese's products are good. There's a Delphi forum for Dr. Denese that has all the ingredients listed. Some ingredients are listed on QVC but not all. You could compare them to what's okay for your skin type etc.

What did Paula have to say about Dr. Wexler's products?  In Dr. Baumann's Book, The Skin Type Solution, she recommended several of Dr. Wexler's products.  It's hard to know what to buy.

Paula starts off saying Dr. Wexler's company wouldn't send her their research and/or proof that their claims about the products are true. She goes on to say that they can't possibly do what they say they will (she says this about a lot of products). She likes some of the products, doesn't like the SPF used in some, doesn't like their jar packaging as it doesn't keep the products stable. She says some of the ingredients in certain products are irritating. It's about 4 or 5 pages.

I agree that it's very hard to choose. Any time I decide on something I look it up in Paula's book and/or on her website. I don't always agree with her. I like and use things she doesn't like but I know she does her research and knows the ingredients.

It got so confusing when I was reading Dr. Baumann's book that I quit comparing the products.

Here's my two cents.......If Dr. B recommended Dr. Wexler products, I honestly would value her opinion more than Paula Begoun. It is hard to find any product that Paula Begoun absolutely LOVES other than her own. Sorry, that's just my feeling on her credibility. Dr. B also has recommended products by Paula. So there in lies the credibility factor for this consumer.
