TOPIC: O or D???

O or D??? 5 years, 9 months ago #612

My O/D score is 26.5 (about as borderline as you can get). I can't decide if I should go with OSNW or DSNW. But I feel that my skin is more dry than the score reflects - however I do get oily from time to time.

I wonder if my skin feels dry because I've been using a toner for years... but I have to use lotion constantly on my legs, arms, feet, etc. to prevent dry skin.

Did this happen to anyone else? What did you guys do?

You're talking about my skin. Used to be very oily. Now I'm dry but there are humid days when I get oily. I had put a post in similar to yours and the advice I got (which I've been following) is to try to find products which both can use. With cleansers I couldn't so on dry days I use Dove new product - I think it's called Deep Moisture (when I get home I'll check the exact name and let yuou know). On oily days I go back to Paula's Choice oily to normal cleanser.

I did find Aveeno Wrikle which is a moisturizer rec for both oily & dry.

Hope this helps.

I was planning on going with the Aveeno moisturizer (ultra-calming SPF 15), but I got confused on if I should use Retin-A (which I've been doing since high school), and cleansers, etc.

Thanks for the help - I'd love to know which products worked for you so I can try them out. Did you get them at Walgreens/Target/etc.? Or did you have to go to a speciality store?

I found them at CVS.

If you want more info on O or D go into General Skin Topics. The topic is Need Help OSPW or DSPW. Others made some good suggestions.
