TOPIC: What cleanser do you use - and are happy with?

What cleanser do you use - and are happy with? 5 years, 10 months ago #537

Never having been particularly happy with my skin (although it wasn't that bad, just really dull) I bought the skin type solution when it was launched in Australia a few months ago, and I've tried a few of the cleansers listed, but just can't find the right one. They're either too drying or not cleansing enough. Eg. L'occitane shea butter extra moisturising cold cream soap - too drying/reddening, Nivea sensitive balance cleansing milk, feels great but really doesn't seem to do that much.

What have people been using that they love?

(btw my all time favourite skin care product is Clinique's moisture on-line!)

I am now using Eucerin Redness relief non foaming cleanser. I never really used a clenser before but I do have fewer breakouts and my skin is less flaky. I am sure my face has changed because of my whole new approach in following Dr. B's advice. However I can say that I have been using this cleanser on my back and all the pimples there are gone! This is the only thing I changed for the skin on my back so I am very happy about that. I am still working on finding a good routine for my chest, it is very red and prone to break out even more than my face. I can't believe how different my skin is from one part to the other, really annoying.

Right now I'm using Olay Moisture Rich Cream Cleanser - it's not greasy at all - it's really calmed my skin down and has really helped with sesitivity. I've also used Eucerin Redness Relief and it's really good too - it's less creamy than a "cream" cleanser, but it's non-foaming and very soothing.

Hope you find something that works for you.

I am in shock. My skin was going through a S flare when I bought the book.
I tried Eucerin Redness Relief--got really red. Ceravue--got really red. Aveeno
Ultra Calming--stinging. Since I was on the cusp of D/O when I took quiz
was desperate so I bought Pond's Cold Cream even though I go oily in summer heat and humidity. And it worked. My skin is no longer red, it doesn't make it oily. And it cost me $4.00. This is the biggest surprise product on the Delphi board also.

I've been using the Eucerin Redness Relief cleanser for almost 3 months, and I think it's well worth trying. A few people have reacted to something in it, but most give it good reviews.
