Hi I`m 50 soon to be 51.My problem is I`m reading and rereading Dr Baumann`s book and I in between DRNW and DRNW and I`m also hypothyroid ,so according to the book I might fall into the DSNT category.I tried the Atoplam and broke out after a few days .I`m now trying a product called Ice Elements,no fragrances and no dyes, aloe based ,seems good ingredients .I rarely had problems with skin care before ,occassionaly something .My problem is left side of my face only has started to break out ,more like hives to me.I went to a dermatoglist and recommended gylcolic after a few days broke out .So right now I confused .Is ther someone who can relate and any advice.Thank you ,teqa23,NY

Hi, I came out as a DSNW by the fact that I break out, but was on the borderline of S and R. My skin actually can handle lots of products and not get irritated and sting per se, but I do have a tendency to clog easily.

I actually have been following the DSNW recs, but have incorporated a few of the DRNW recs too, that being a glycolic cleanser which I use a few times a week, does a great job of smoothing out the skin. I like the glycolic cleanser because you get some of the mild benefits without the irriation of a leave on glycolic product. Also, I use the Skinceuticals CE Ferulic a few times per week, and recentliy started using Retin-A at night, doing it gradually as she recommended.
Marcy - age 39
D in winter, O in summer
R but if I"m not careful I can become an S
P
W
occasional breakouts, but more hormonal in the jaw/upper neck area
