Hello everyone,

First of all, I am so thankful that I stumbled upon this forum which caused me to get Dr. Baumann's book and find out what type I am and what should work for me. Oh I wish I had known about all of this information 20-25 years ago.

Right now, I'm following her suggestion for skin care but am continuing to use mainly Signature Minerals as makeup and LOVING the results. I like the Signature Minerals because they only contain four ingredients (mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides & zinc oxide). In the past I've used Bare Escentuals/bare Minerals (whatever name they go by) mineral makeup but after reading information on the web I've decided to try to use products with as few and as natural ingredients as possible. I am still using the BE/bM Glee as blush (mainly since I've got a ton of it left) but since it contains Bismuth oxychloride and I've read that bismuth oxychloride can be an irritant, I wanted to give the Avon Split Second Blush Stick that Dr. Baumann recommends a try. The Avon website doesn't list that blush and a local rep said she couldn't find it either. Do any of you know if it's been renamed?

My second question refers to skin cleansing. Right now I'm using the Pond's Cold Cream that Dr. Baumann recommends. I picked that because it was the cheapest of the choices and I didn't want to spend a lot of money trying something. It worked so incredibly well (at least right now since it's winter and my skin is a little drier than it is in the spring/summer) that I am going to stick with it in the dry, winter months. However if, as the North Carolina humidity kicks in, I need to switch from the cold cream to another cleanser, do any of you with DSNW skin have any experience with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser? I had been using the Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar until I read Dr. B's advice not to use any foaming cleanser - oh my goodness... that in and of itself made such a difference in my skin. My sister uses the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and likes it but she also uses the Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer which stings my face.

I've been lurking on here for a little while and love reading your posts about what's working for you. Sorry this was so long... I'm just so happy that I've found this information that I can barely contain myself. ;D

Thanks in advance.
