If sensitive skin types aren't supposed to exfoliate, how is the skin to be receptive to serums, lotions, and creams. I thought it was necessary to remove the top layer of dead cells so the fresh cells underneath could absorb the beneficial ingredients in skin care products.
I exfoliate gently once a week with baking soda mixed with my cleanser, and I also use a mild clay mask a few days later. Neither irritates my skin, and my skin feels soft and smooth afterward.
What do other sensitive skin types do about exfoliation?
