Hi all, I am new to the sts but after readinga review in the Sunday paper had to rush out and buy it. I have always had heaps of problems with my skin from birth, suffering from eczema ( a family trait but I seemed to get a double dose of it!!) and really dry skin. Have just started using dove deep cleansing cleanser, nivea cream ( night and day ) plus olay enhancing lotion plus sorbolene and glycerin cream with added parrafin ( a super duper heavy duty moisturiser ).... and I still feel that I can't move my face or it will crack, but am hoping this will improve.
My major concern that I really hope someone out there can help with is my hands. I am 35 and my hands look like they belong to a 90 year old, they are red with deep cracks and often covered by tiny fluid filled blisters that itch intensly. I have used heavy duty steroid creams for years and am really paying the price, my hands are now starting to get contractures and I try to avoid using them too much, my hand writing has suffered as a consequense. ohh, and did i mention that I am a nurse? So I really need to have my hands!!!! Switching jobs is just not an option, and work is really good to me with supplying special gloves and hand cream but I don't think I will be able to last much longer at this rate!! If anyone out there could offer any solutions I would really be so grateful. I know this site is really looking at facial skin but I hope that someone out there can help me.
thanks so much, eczema 1
PS am taking the fish oil capsules as advised by Dr Baumann :'( :'(
