As the weather has started to turn icy, the skin on my nose has started to "leak". I arrive at work with bubbles of fluid pooling on the width of my nose near the tip to middle area. I have on previous years when this has happened thought that it was oil production but as I am on roaccuatane at the moment and my skin is really dry, I am wondering if it is actually tissue fluid. Has this happened to anyone else? My sensitivity score is really high at 55 and my nose is always red (though more pink since changing to products recommended by Dr Baumann) with rosacea spots not necessarily now acne spots although it's really difficult to differentiate between them. I have tried applying more moisturiser but this seems to make the pooling of fluid worse. The fluid is visible to other people and looks kind of white in colour - not clear. Does anyone know of any good skin barrier repair creams? I should point out this only happens in cold weather so I think it's definitely some kind of protection mechanism that the skin is producing which makes me think that I'm not giving it enough protection. It's not linked to the roaccutane as this phenomenon has been occuring over the last 3-4 winters but I have always assumed it was oil in th past. I'm currently using Darphin Intral cleanser, Prescriptives Super Line preventor serum and Simple SPF 15 day cream (contains things like green tea, beta glucan, chamomile) I then wear Everyday minerals as my foundation. I was having no problems with this routine in the warmer weather. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. thanks xx
