Hi All,
I have just been wading thru boxes of products at 4:00 a.m., trying to find a moisturizer I can use. I seems that I am also sensitive to propylene glycol, as found in Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. I had been using the cream on my hands and after showering. Now it causes stinging! The PC Skin Recovery Moisturizer is now stinging too. It contains propylene glycol. So does Clinique's DDML. I can't use products with fragrance, SLS, SLES, urea, rosemary, licorice root, and now propylene glycol. Man, oh man, my options sure are dwindling!
On a positive note - I CAN use Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion! It does NOT contain the offending ingredients, although I'm not too crazy about using it on the face. I'd prefer a cream, but one has to go with what's available.
Fortunately, I have 1/4 of a bottle left. I've read the ingredient lists of over 500 moistuizing lotions on the drugstore.com website. The only other option is the fragrance-free Curel lotion.
Clinique has changed their formula for Moisture Surge. They have removed the fragrance. Yaay! It is now called Moisture Surge Extra Thirsty Skin Relief. This is an instant hydrator that can be worn over or under moisturizer and makeup.
I'm in my 10th or 11th week of this trial and error stuff. My face was looking and feeling great until I added the Skin Recovery Moisturizer. Now it is red again. Well, the Cutanix will take care of that later this a.m., and I won't be using the PC product again. I think the only PC item that I can now use is her Pure Mineral Sunscreen! Did I mention that my house looks like a chem lab? <g> Oh well, back to reading more ingredient lists...
