Hi again!

The problem with MN is that you have to go to one of their studios to find products for your skin type. You can't order from their website. However, some of the studios will do mail order. This being the case, here are a few products to consider:

Merle Norman Collagen Cleanser - $17.50 for 6 oz. in a pump bottle. This product contains lanolin, so it is a no-no if you have acne. There is a mild fragrance, which I am able to tolerate. This is a very rich lotion and feels instantly soothing to the skin. Very similar to Lancome's Galatee, another nice one. Can be rinsed or wiped off. I wipe off and then follow with:

MN Delicate Balance Toner - $17.50 for 6 oz. in a spray bottle. You spray the product on a cotton pad and gently wipe over the face. This product is made for folks with sensitive skin. Contains no dyes, fragrance, alcohol, etc. Leaves skin feeling fresh and clean, but not dry. Similar to the Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Toner. The PC is probably a better choice since it contains antioxidants.

Miracol Lotion or Creamy Formula - $18. This is a mask for all skin types that is to be used at least 3 X per week, preferably every other day. It contains albumin and other things to draw impurities out of the pores. There is a scent, but I can use this! Some of you older folks might remember seeing MN ads in various magazines. These showed dramatic before and after pictures. You cleanse your face and then apply a thin layer of your cleanser to the skin before using this mask. Leave on for 8-10 minutes; for maximum benefits, it can be left on 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool tapwater and pat dry. I can tolerate this for the full 20 minutes. The thin veil of the Collagen Cleanser protects my skin from the tapwater. You don't need a toner after this mask, and then you would follow with your moisturizer/sunscreen.

A friend and I went to a local studio for makeovers waaaay back in 1970, so that is how I found out about this line. We both used it a lot until she moved away and I went to live in Germany when my hubby was in the military. MN has made many improvements over the years, one of which has been the Collagen Cleanser. You do have to be careful though. Many of the products are highly fragranced. I can't use a lot of the moisturizers, for example. There is a new moisturizer also called Delicate Balance, that is made for sensitive skin types and people with rosacea. It contains none of the nasty irritants or fragrance. It would be better for folks with oily skin types, though. It wasn't hydrating enough for my skin. I had to apply DHC EVOO over it to seal in the moisture. Inky
