Hi Gang,
Fragrance free, dye free, lanolin and paraben free -- $3.99 for 18 oz. Sounds great doesn't it? I bought this to set at my kitchen sink to use as a hand lotion. Tried it yesterday on the hands. Instant redness and stinging!
Not only that, but within one minute, my lips and knees were burning too.
Had to wash the stuff off and it took a couple of hours for the knees and lips to calm down. I must have hypersensitive nerve endings. I think this could be why Dr. B. says not to use products on body skin that you can't use on the face.
I have been comparing ingredient lists from the Suave and from Vanicream, which I also can't use, and from Cetaphil Moisture Cream, which I CAN use.
Also referred to the avoidance list in the book. Heaven help me, but I studied those lists until my eyes crossed -- couldn't pinpoint a specific ingredient in the Suave and Vanicream unless it would be some kind of stearate. What are stearates? Lipids? I wish I had a chemistry background. Inky
