According to the book, Dr. Baumann's choice of serums / emulsions for DRPW type skin is La Roche-Posay Active C. I want a product for pigmentation more than wrinkles (as I don't have much wrinkling). In looking at the details of this product versus the Topix Replenix Retinol Smoothing Serum, it sounds like the Topix product is better for pigmentation; the La Roche-Posay product details don't even mention that it helps even skin tone. Is Topix a better product for treating dark spots?

An Aveeno product is listed under night creams. I know that (at least some) Aveeno products contain soy but soy isn't listed as a recommended ingredient for DRPW. Are there any benefits or any harm in using products with soy?

The book was getting too long so there were things I could not include and this info is art of that. Soy can have estrogenic components such as genistein that can worsen dark patches. J and J (Aveeno, Neutrogena and Roc) has developed a soy in which all estrogenic components have been removed so this does not occur. In fact this "active soy" helps prevent pigment..so YES you can use the Aveeno Positively Radiant products or the Neutrogena Visibly Even products.

The La Rouche-Posay active C will help pigment even though its not on the label.
