Hi All,
Yesterday began Week#3 of my regimen, and I'm still not happy with how it's going. I wasn't able to retain enough moisture using the Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Cleanser in the a.m., although I did love that splash rinsing!
I use Sunday as my Test Day, for tweaking the regimen. Decided to use DHC Cleansing Oil for my morning cleanser. I globbed on lots of the oil and couldn't believe my eyes. My face slurped up that oil so that there was barely anything to rinse off! I thought "Hey, this cleansing oil must be a good thing!" Wronnnng! By the time I used my moisturizer and sunscreen, I had developed redness and stinging. The DHC Oil contains Rosemary and I can't tolerate that particular botanical, apparently. So, I'm back to square one in the cleanser dept., using the Albolene cream in a jar -- which means no more splash rinsing. <sigh>
I have some Shu Uemura cleansing oil and I'll probably try that one in another week. It contains botanicals too, although hopefully, rosemary isn't among them. Wish I could find a plain cosmetic cleansing oil! I had to smear petroleum jelly on the face last night to help seal in the moisture after the DHC fiasco in the a.m. Face feels calm now.
I have given away 3 boxes full of products that I can't use. The DHC oil can go into box #4. My neighbor takes these to work, where her co-workers fall on the products like vultures. This has been an expensive summer!
I hope everyone else has had a "tolerable" week! Inky
