Yippy Skippy -- Got my products today!

Here's the question: How do I use the Eucerin Soothing Cleanser if I am trying to avoid hard tap water? Do I spray with LRP thermal water and then wipe off with cotton pads? Do I spray with LRP to moisten skin before applying the cleanser? Oops! That's 3 questions! I AM wordy! A progress note: My skin is definitely more hydrated after misting with distilled water and then using Cetaphil moisturizing cream and sunscreen while waiting for product arrival. I'm still red and bumpy though -- not acne, just irritational bumps. A last question: Does the LRP water need to be shaken first? Ok, I'm done being a pest for now! Inky

Hi Inky!  I use the Eucerine Soothing Cleanser by first spraying my dry face lightly with the facial water.  Then I massage in the gel cleanser and then spray the face generously with more facial water.  Then I tissue off gently and apply seum and moisturizer while the face is still damp.

I don't bother to shake the facial water--there are no ingredients except water and nitogen.

Hope this helps!

This post is interesting to me. I love the facial water too, but I still use regular tap water to rinse my face. I'm interested to see how this would work for me as my tap water is pretty hard. I didn't think it was really affecting me that much until I was rinsing my kids off in the bathtub one night, without soap, and noticed that my feet and legs that were in the tap water were so dry and flaky afterward.

How quickly do you find you go through your mineral water using it to rinse? I have the LRP water and really like it, but I just got a huge can of the Avene to try out too, so hopefully it will last a bit.

Also, I'm one of those compulsive rinsers, LOL! My husband always teases me about it, and I make a total mess in the bathroom everytime I wash my face. So maybe this will help, hee hee!

I love to splash rinse in the a.m., and it's just about killing me not to be able to do this. I have to use cold cream to cleanse now. The Eucerin was sting-y. I remove the cleanser with a soft cloth (tissues irritate my skin!) and then use the Thermal Water on a cotton pad like a toner. Serum is next, after which I spray my hands with Thermal Water and pat this over my face. If I spray my face directly, my lips and tongue get numb and tingly. Ah yes, I am a weird ol' bird! I follow up with moisturizer/sunscreen, of course. I'm fairly new to the regimen because it took me a while to find the right cleanser for my skin. I don't know how long the Thermal Water will last yet. I usually buy at least 2 of every product because I have 2 bathrooms in my house. If the product is really pricey, I'll buy just one to make sure my skin can tolerate it. I keep a spray bottle containing distilled water on hand, just in case I ever run out of the Thermal Water. I used the distilled water while waiting for my initial products to arrive. My body skin dries rapidly after showering in the hard tap water, so I make sure to slather on moisturizing cream while body is still damp. My question is, if hard tap water is so bad, why are we spraying minerals on our faces? Dr. B. says it's the calcium in the hard water that irritates the skin. I guess the mineral waters don't contain calcium? Any thoughts? Inky

The mineral water has some of the soothing ingredients. like selnium, or sulfur, depending on which brand you're using, but it doesn't have the chlorine that tap water has, which can be very drying.
