Hi, all you DSPW's.

Anyone else get stinging when exposed to heat? I don't get it from the moisturizers with SPF or the other products. But, when I'm outside and it's hot my skin immediately begins to sting. Don't have to be in the sun for this to occur. Any suggestion? Stronger moisturizer?

Thnx.

Hi Judith,

Is it just your facial skin that stings, or is it all over? Perhaps you're like me --sensitive to my own sweat! If you are taking certain blood pressure or cholesterol-lowering meds, those can affect the way you respond to sun and temperatures.

I have diabetes. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate between reaction to a product and a hypoglycemic reaction from not enough food intake. (I get a tingly, burning sensation from not eating enough.) First thing I have to do when I start stinging is check my blood sugar level. What a pain -- literally! Just a few thoughts. I DO understand your problem! Inky

You're right - it is when I perspire. And yes, I'm on cholestrol med. I don't have diabetes so that's not affecting it.

What do you do for it, Inky?

Thanks.

You've said you notice the stinging when you sweat -- I have the same problem and I believe it is the salt in sweat that causes the problem.

It's always been somewhat of an issue for me and a bit more now that I am using Renova.

What i'm doing is spraying my face with one of the facial sprays Dr. B recommends and then patting it dry. That seems to help.

PS -- Evian carries small bottles of spray for travel and I keep one in my purse.
