Hi all - new to the book, have beenusing Retin A for years, also use Avon Hydrofiroming Night Cream, but I exfoliate at least weekly! Will stop that! My question is according to the book, we are to avoid sodium laurel sulfate in our shampoos, I've searched for days and can't find a shampoo without it! ??? Any suggestions? Thanks, Gail

Gail,

You didn't say what skin type you are, but if exfoliating is working for you I wouldn't stop it! I stopped for about a week after reading the book, and my skin got rough (even though I use Renova). I went back to using my glycolic acid for exfoliation and got my skin back where it was.

I don't think there's a "one size fits all" recommendation. Each of us is individual and if something is working, stick with it!

Hi,
I found "California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo and Body Wash" through Drugstore.com's sister site, Beauty.com.    It has no Sodium Laurel Sulfate.  Mainly aloe, etc.  I didn't think it could clean my scalp, but it sure does.  It has NO fragrance.   I don't know that I need anything this pure, but at the time I ordered it, my face was in full zombie attack mode and I was desperate.  If your forehead has rosacea or other issues, you may want to try this.
As for exfoliating, I have tried it and given it up...seems to just require more exfoliation in a few days.
