Hi everyone,

What are your favorite foundations?

Which foundations do you hate and why?

Thanks for your help!

I haven't really found a foundation that I absolutely LOVE. Right now I'm using Trish McEvoy Even Skin Foundation and it is pretty good. It's pretty smooth and light, but it seems to be better for dry skin because it can be a little greasy. I also really like Origins Silk Screen powder foundation, especially when I want a really matte look to my face. Although it dries out my face a little since I have dry skin.

I do not like to use decorative cosmetics as much, but lately (due to pigmentation spots) I had to use it on a daily basis. I found that Vishy Lumineuse (it is actually a tinted moisturizer) was very good. It is invisible, that is - it does not look like a foundation and it did not irritate my skin

I have tried the recommendations in the book for OSPW, being sort of middle of the road oily/dry.  I like the Neutrogena skin-clearing foundation as it neutralizes the redness and doesn't aggravate anything...
I used to use Elizabeth Arden flawless finish sponge-on cream makeup without any rosacea flare-ups.  The downside was that it didn't stick to my oily, bright-red nose for any time at all!  It is expensive, too.
I need a non-drying, non-oily, redness-correcting, non-inflammatory, lasting foundation that doesn't look fake.
I don't ask for much, do I?
Thanks again, you have helped my freaked-out skin so much,
Annelle

This has been an issue for me for a LONG time! Finding the right color has been a HUGE challenge--covering the redness in my skin without looking chalky or fake. Also some formulations would settle in lines, or make my skin look rough or dry (and dull).  Currently I am using, and liking quite well, Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation with SPF 15. Color is great and it goes on smooth. I carry the Bobbi Brown Foundation stick in my purse for touch-ups. On days when I want lighter coverage, I use Bobbi Brown's Tinted Moisturizer. Have not had good luck with drugstore foundations but it's been awhile since I tried any, and I'm guessing that many of their colors are better now than they have been in the past. There's another thread on this board which has some recommendations that I may look into also.
