My hormonal acne has acted up this past week and I was using a 1% Salicylic gel on the spots. Now I basically have burns and 3 cysts on my face. Yuck. I'm such a mess, that I'm hiding out in the house. I've completely scrapped my skin care regimen and I've only using Olive Oil as a cleanser and moisturizer. I'm using neosporin on my "burns". I've come to the realization that I can't use any topical acne meds. Even BP in a low dose hurts my skin. I'm much, much more sensitive than I originally thought. I have paper thin skin. I'm just crying over this. How do I start over? I'm sticking wit the cleansing oil method for now. Olive Oil and Aquaphor are the only things that seem to not hurt me. Unfortunately they also can break me out if I'm not careful.

I'm retaking the test today. I think I'm way more dry and sensitive than I first thought. All the years of acne meds has severely damaged my skin and mad it dry and sensitive. I was using Skinceuticals Retinol .5 in hopes of thickening my skin, but so far all it has done is make me peel and red.

I did order a plain cleansing oil and LRP thermal water today. It seems to be the best way to start. I just need a non-irritating heavy moisturizer and a sunscreen without PABA and Chemicals.

I look like I was beaten in the face. I'm so depressed about this. I even threw out most of my skin care products over my frustration.

Any suggestions? Can I make these chem burns heal faster?
Non-chemical ideas for treating the cysts?

Thanks,
Jane
