Hi, I'm Jane!
I discovered Dr. b's book about 2 months ago and so far my skin has made a complete turn around. I have tricky skin. Hormonal acne breakouts are probably my #1 concern. I kept treating my skin as oily but in reality I'm more borderline on the Dry side. In the summer months my t-zone does get oily and in the winter I'm very dry. I just started using retinol products. I have had to ease myself into them. When a derm put me on differin about 6 years ago, I had a bad reaction and had to discontinue using it. I have started Skinceuticals Retinol .50 and with a buffer of serum have had remarkable results. I'm now using it every other day without any redness or peeling. I do have acne scars which I would love to get some help for.The retinol has cleared my skin up after my first initial "purge". I wish I had discovered Dr. B's book years ago. I'm so much more informed about my skin. I was treating the acne not the underlying problem. I also started taking zinc, black cohosh (for the hormonal imbalance) and Omega-3's. All have helped. I just need a lightening product that does not irritate my skin and cost a fortune. Here's the skin plan that I'm currently using
Day-
Yonka Netyoant Gel Cleanser (Non-irritating, removes makeup)
Olay Regenerist Serum (No fragrance)
Skinceuticals CE Ferulic (Love it!)
Clinique All about Eyes (Makes eye concealer go on smoother)
Eucerin Red Relief (For red days)
I have yet to find a daytime moisturizer with SPF tat does not break me out, Any suggestions? Need at least a spf 15. Maybe more for summer months.
Night
MD Forte II Glycolic Cleanser
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (MY HG Night Serum)
SkinCeuticals Retinol .50 (Every other night)
Yonka Phyto 52 Firming Cream
Yonka Phyto Eye Contour for puffiness and dark circles (MY HG Eye Cream)
3 days a week I use Ice Elements 2m miracle for gentle exfoliation
For Breakouts, I only spot treat with MD Forte Perfection gel or a salicylic 2% gel from Clinique
So I would like suggestions on skin lightners for the acne scars and a Daytime moisturizer with a minimum of spf 15 that is non-comedigenic and unscented and will not "ball-up" my foundation.
Thanks,
Jane
