I wanted to get your opinions on what skin care regimen might work well for me. I consider myself to have very dry skin, mostly because I am VERY prone to flaking. However, my face does always look shiny. I have blackheads on my nose and lots on my chin. But the places where I am most oily are the places where I flake the most: forehead, nose, and chin. The only moisturizers that seem strong enough to combat the flakiness are extremely thick creams. I've used Nivea original cream before, but it seems to give me blackheads. Most creams seem to sit on top of my face though, and they add to (or perhaps are the entire reason for) my shininess. I wish I could find a great moisturizer that penetrated more and could combat the flakiness without giving me more blackheads and occastional zits. Right now I am using Dove Gentle Exfoliating Foaming Facial Cleanser daily, then I cleanse again with Estee Lauder's Sensitive Skin (Verite) cleansing lotion, then I use Estee Lauder's original ReNutriv cream (it slightly stings my skin; it's running out; I can't afford to buy it again!) or sometimes to moisturize, I just use some cheap "Fruit of the Earth" Vitamin E cream (sometimes stings a tiny bit) with some Avon Moisture Therapy Intensive Hand Cream on top of the vitamin E cream on my face. I've tried Cetaphil moisturzing cream, and it made me break out really bad with zits. Also, I live in a very, very dry climate. Any ideas would be wonderful!!!
