Well, I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and came away with a scrip for metrolotion (which I tried, but I actually like the gel better, but my insurance covers the lotion), but no Differin!

But you know, that won't stop me - I have other options.

I actually tried Retin-A Micro again last night - 2nd night for the week - I waited 4 days since the 1st application - again, no irritation or redness and actually it was very soothing, believe it or not! So, I'm going to try and get some retin-a, even if I have to order from Medsmex.
Like I mentioned in a previous post, I have a bunch of samples of Tazorac gel - enough for about a month and then my DD actually has a scrip for Tazorac with 5 refills on it - which I haven't filled because we have all the samples. She doesn't need the scrip - she's only 3-1/2 and using it for molluscum, which is clearing up, so the scrip is just sitting on-hold at the pharmacy and will never be used - what a shame! Unless I use it, of course,
So, here's my question - since the retin-a micro isn't causing any irritation whatsoever so far, and the Tazorac may be too strong, is it possible to dilute the Tazorac with something so it isn't so strong and yet will still be effective?
I suppose I could go "Derm Shopping" and see if I could find someone to prescribe retin-a micro for me, since it seems to be working out great. Or, since medsmex doesn't have retin-a micro, would regular retin-a work as well? The RAM I have is the 0.04% strength - would the retin-a cream in 0.05% strength be the closest thing?
Thanks for any input -
Beth
