Not to be a copycat of the other post, but I'm also ready to start a retinoid. I'm wondering if I should try Renova or Retin-A Micro? Which would be better for a DSPW?

I actually have samples of Retin-A Micro 0.04% and tried it last night - no real irritation today to speak of - I am going to start EXTREMELY slow with the retinoids - once a week, then once every three days, etc. etc. My skin is pretty sensitive, but if last night was any indicator, I think I can work up to maybe 3 times a week. Anyway, I could order Renova from Medsmex - but they don't have the Retin-A Micro - and I'm pretty sure I could get my doc to write me a prescription for one, but my insurance may not cover it, or it would only cover 1/2 at best. Of course there's always regular Retin-A in the generic - but it may be too drying and I don't want to put my skin in a tail-spin.

Any thoughts? And is Medsmex a reliable source? I have seen a couple people here order from there. Any issues? Good?

Thanks!

Beth
