Hi - in the book, Dr. Baumann recommends not using powder for dry skin types.  My skin is becoming drier and drier as time marches on - I just redid the test and need to update my profile because the numbers are from a year ago - I test even drier now and I'm staying dry even in the summer.

Anyway, how many people use liquid foundations without powder?  Maybe it's an old-fashioned notion that foundation must be "set" with powder that I can't get over?  My face does feel much better without powder - it feels it's best when I just use moisturizer and no foundation, but the liquid I currently use is an oil-control formula, so maybe that's the problem?  I thought an oil-control liquid would work without powder - but maybe I'm mistaken.

Any thoughts?  And any drugstore recs for a new foundation for dry skin that doesn't look bad without powder?
