So I finally went, and she said I definitely do have very sensitive skin (since she recommended Purpose moisturizer SPF 15, and told her that was one of the products that caused problems a while back), and it's dry, but it also sounds like classic, early stages of mild rosacea. She prescribed Metrocream, and said to give it 6-8 weeks, and that I might experience stinging, increased redness or dryness (I don't know how that's possible, really) initially (so now I'm all nervous about trying it), and gave me a sample of the Vanicream sunblock lotion to try, along with a catalog of the stuff from psico.com.
I also just started using Albolene, and it's been wonderful, except that I find I need to apply it wet skin, or it doesn't help much. The Albolene with the LRP water and toleriane cream had made almost all my symptoms dissapear (just a few dry spots). But I will try the metrocream soon probably anyway just to see what it does.
