Hello fellow DSPWs! I am 25 and started Dr. Baumann's regimen about 2 months ago. After several years of being in constant skin disaster mode(redness, stinging, flaking, acne, hyperpigmentation), I can now look in the mirror without cringing. I's amazing how quickly the right regimen can turnyour skin around! Things are pretty well under control at this point except for one thing. I have wrinkles on my forehead and around my mouth already. I am doing I the suncreen and antioxident thing, but I am wondering about prescription retinoids. I was under the impression that they were too harsh for us, but after reading through your posts, it seems some of you are taking them with good results.
Any suggestions on which ones have worked for you (I know there's Renova and some others.) Also, is this something a dermatologist would be pretty open to? (I haven't seen a derm in 2 years now because at the time I was sick of spending money on ineffective treatments.) I recently moved to Chicago and am hesitant about seeing a derm again to basically say, "Look I have everything under control and all I think I need is the prescription retinoids!"
